#Guitar rig 5 player after going 30 minutes what happens windows 7 The sound card is a Realtek HD audio card. Actually, I don't need to be playing in order for the noises to appear. I can just load an mp3 into the tape deck and let it roll for a few minutes. I don't even need to plug my Rocksmith cable into the laptop for this to happen. Well, no solution yet, but I have some additional information. I installed GR5 on another cheaper laptop, a Brazilian CCE i5, and it works perfectly. I also installed Amplitube on my main laptop, and the same issue happens.

So it is most certainly an Asio4All, or a Realtek Audio HD card or driver issue. Doesn't Guitar Rig have its own Asio driver I can use? Here is a post and answer from the Rocksmith forum: Rocksmith guys are loving Guitar Rig, by the way.

I just registered in this forum with the only purpose of THANKING YOU for showing me how to use Guitar Rig 5 with Rocksmith cable.

#Guitar rig 5 player after going 30 minutes what happens how to I had tried and failed it a few months ago. Without the proper configuration and very little faith, as I had been told my a musician friend of mine, that it wouldn't work without additional hardware.Īs I read the thread I was ver skeptical, but after using you configuration and turning of the mike on creative sound card config, voilá, guitar on my PC. You are my rocksmith hero of the year!Īnswer: Hey, thanks. I am still having some intermitent noise, I hope this does not happen to you and I am suspicious that different sound cards will produce different results. If I get any response from Native Instruments support I will post it here. I mentioned Rocksmith provides them a potential market of one million guitar and bass players that have a ready to use guitar to USB hardware. But in any case, it is great, isn't it? Rock on! I guess this would be an incentive for them to fix any issue. I use Asio4all, GR5, an Alexis guitar link (USB) and my sound card is a Realtek HD on-board. Like most of you I get some (variable) few minutes of perfect sound and then the noise begins. If I just change something in Asio4all settings (no matter what) the noise goes away and I get perfect sound again. So I gess, by changing something in Asio4all config it just resets, so I imagine that's something wrong/uncompatible between Asio4all and my system (soundcard, cpu.).Ī few days ago I decided to test something. I've an old soundblaster live 24-bit so I connected to the system, installed a custom driver (there is no driver for win7 64bit from creative), and now I've a similiar problem but not quite the same.

There is no cracking sound and I don't have to go to the Asio4all config to fix it, but now and then the sound stills become "wrong" but after a second or two it fixes it self back to perfect sound.Īfter a few tests I decided to leave both soundcards on, because it doesn't seem to affect GR and with tem both I can use one just for GR and the other for general sound, what is useful for playing an youtube song and paly along in GR since asio4all kills all the sound if you have only one sound card. Regardeless the improvement I would love to have perfect sound just with the Realtek or at least in the Creative, so if anyone can find a fix for this it would be great.Ĭlick to expand.Sorry to disappoint you, but nobody really provided an acceptable solution for this. Asio4all is freeware, so I don't see they really engaged in fixing a problem that happen to a few users.

#Guitar rig 5 player after going 30 minutes what happens driverĪmp sim sofware manufacturers, like Native Instruments and IK Multimedia do not focus on the Asio driver thing, they do not provide any native driver to work with generic audio cards, an rely on Asio4All for that job. The card manufacturer does not seem interested in fixing anything that is not affecting tens of thousands of users, so I guess the only real solution is to use another sound card.
